Successful Grant Funding Secures Key Improvements for Weston Village Hall

Weston Village Hall

Weston Village Hall Management Committee are delighted to announce that they have been successful in obtaining two grants – £6,500 from Severn Trent Community Fund and £2,000 from the Platinum Jubilee Fund via ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural
England).

The applications were made in order to complete the following projects:

(i) New flooring in the entrance hall and kitchen

(ii) Upgrade the external doors in the kitchen and main hall with stronger and more secure aluminium doors

(iii) Electrical work which will involve the installation of a new 24way distribution board and upgrade the lighting in the bar area

These projects will mean the Village Hall will continue to be well maintained, safe and fit for purpose.  This 2024 investment project will now provide our community with the legacy of a sustainable facility for years to come. Once all the work has been completed, the plan is to hold an Open Day in the New Year to promote the hall and the work that has been undertaken.  We hope the local community will come and support

the Village Hall Management committee at this event.
